Burglar Tried Breaking Into West Chester Home, Authorities Say A masked man tried entering a West Chester home while residents were inside, borough police said in a release.  It happened on the 100 block of South High Street around 10 p.m. on May 6, according to investigators.  Police believe the suspect watched the resident enter the home before trying to get in. He fled before officers arrived and was not located when police searched the area.  He was around 6-foot-4 and thin with a navy-blue long sleeve Penn State shirt, black Nike Air sweatpants with white lettering, and gray New Balance sneakers, detectives said.  Anyone…

Masked Gunman Kills 27-Year-Old In Philly Restaurant: Investigators A man wearing gloves and a mask walked into a Chinese restaurant in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood and shot a 27-year-old dead, according to city police.  Authorities said Joel Colon-Cruz was inside a restaurant on the 700 block of East Ontario Street around 11 p.m. Monday, June 10.  The gunman shot him multiple times in the head and torso and he was pronounced dead at the scene, PPD said.  Anyone with information is asked to call Homicide Detectives at 215-686-3334.

'Explosion' Injures 3 Workers At Facility In PA: Authorities (Update) Multiple people were injured in an explosion-like event at a manufacturing plant in South Central Pennsylvania. Emergency crews were called to the "fire department incident" at Johnson Controls located at 100 Cumberland Valley Avenue in Waynesboro at 7:23 a.m., according to emergency dispatchers in Franklin County. "An air chamber rupture," was also reported to the police. They added that the incident is contained to the facility. Officer Hospitalized With Medical Episode While Arresting Wanted Person, Police Say An Allentown police officer was hospitalized after suffering a medical episode while trying to arrest a wanted person, officials said. Police said only that the officer suffered some sort of medical episode while attempting to apprehend the suspect around 12:45 p.m. Monday, June 10 on the 600 block of N. 9th Street. Emergency aid was rendered on scene and the officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The officer is expected to survive. No further details were released.
