LEICESTER, Mass. — The students at Leicester Memorial School collected more than 1,500 items during the annual 100th Day Food Drive.
Each classroom was challenged to bring in 100 nonperishable items for the drive from Jan. 28 to Feb 1.
Together, students brought in a total of 1,562 food items, with Michelle Meloche's fifth grade class collecting the most with 201 items.
All donations have been delivered to the Leicester Food Pantry to help residents in the community.
