Leicester Nomination Papers Available March 11

LEICESTER, Mass. - Leicester will have 11 offices up for grabs in the annual town election June 11, including seats on the Board of Selectmen and School Committee.

Nomination papers will be available at the town clerk's office beginning Monday, March 11, with residents interested in running for office having until 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, to submit 42 certified signatures to the registrars of voters.

Thursday, May 9, will be the last day to object or withdraw.

The last day to register to vote in the June election
is May 24, with the town clerk's office to be open from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.

Seats up for election in June include:

1 Assessor - 3 years

1 Selectman - 3 years

1 Housing Authority - 3 years

1 Planning Board - 3 years

1 Board of Health - 3 years

2 School Committee - 3 years

2 Public Library Trustees - 3 years

1 Moderator - 3 years

1 Moose Hill Water Commission - 3 years

The annual town meeting will be held Tuesday, May 7. The last day to register for the meeting will be Wednesday, April 17.
