LEICESTER, Mass. — Leicester Democrats will hold a caucus Feb. 23 to elect delegates to the State Convention in June.
All Leicester voters registered as Democrats as of Dec 31 are eligible to run for a delegate position and participate in the election process.
Attendees will elect a total of five delegates: two men, two women and one additional man or woman. The chairman of the Town Committee is appointed as a sixth ex-officio delegate.
Additionally the attendees will elect three alternate delegates: one man, one woman and one additional man or woman.
The caucus will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Hillcrest Country Club, 325 Pleasant St., Leicester.
The Massachusetts Democratic State Convention will be held June 1 at the Tsongas Center at UMass-Lowell. The delegates will debate, amend and adopt the State Democratic Platform as well as well as hear from many current and future party leaders.
