WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A 19-year-old New Hampshire woman was arrested on Christmas Eve and charged with helping to cover up the murder of Westborough's Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott

McDonough was arraigned Wednesday morning at Derry District Court and released on $35,000 bail, according to published reports

Her release also stipulated that she remain in the state of New Hampshire and refrain from contact with Seth Mazzaglia, the 30-year-old man charged with the second-degree murder of Lizzi Marriott.

McDonough is reported to have been in a relationship with Mazzaglia at the time of Marriott's death, and is charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, along with conspiracy to commit hindering apprehension or prosecution.

New Hampshire assistant attorney general Peter Hinckley said McDonough provided a false alibi for Mazzaglia when initially questioned.

The state requested her bail to be set at $50,000, but her defense cited her lack of a criminal record to argue the amount down.

Court records indicate that Marriott was strangled within Mazzaglia's Dover apartment on Oct. 9. Police said her body was dumped off of the shore of Peirce Island in Portsmouth, NH. An extensive search for her body was carried out, but nothing was found.

Court records remain sealed in the case.
