LEICESTER, Mass. - Elizabeth H. (Gleason) Batstone, 94, of Winslow Avenue, died Saturday, Sept. 22 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. She was the wife of the late Howard J. Batstone.
She leaves a son Richard W. Batstone and his wife Linda of Berlin, a brother Paul Gleason of Leicester, a sister Priscilla Gleason of Leicester, five grandchildren Michelle Natale of Brockton, Jason Batstone of Brentwood, NH, Geoffrey Batstone of Burlington, Mark Batstone of Crosby, TX and Amanda Batstone of Berlin, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son Keith Batstone and a grandson Nathan Batstone, and brothers David and Phillip Gleason.
Mrs. Batstone was born in Worcester, daughter of Clifford and Edith (Gardner) Gleason. She was an administrative assistant for many years at the former Arthur Young & Co. in Worcester. She was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church in Worcester. She enjoyed toll painting and cooking.
The Funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. in Morin-Morrison Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Greenville Baptist Cemetery, Rochdale. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
