LEICESTER, Mass. — From the roar of classic car engines to the tune of "Beep Beep, Beep Beep, yeah!" the sounds of Leicester's annual Cruise Night and Beatles tribute show will once again resound from the town common Wednesday night.
The first Wednesday in August every year, the Town of Leicester hosts a rock ‘n’ roll concert and cruise night, and once again the renowned band Beatles For Sale will return to perform the fab four's much-loved hits from the bandstand.
The annual cruise night is one of the most popular shows of the summer series, with the award-winning Beatles For Sale receiving the Worcester Music Award for “Best Live Act.”
A section of the Common will also be roped off, with classic cars to be parked in horseshoe fashion facing the stage where the band performs.
Residents are invited to grab their best gal, jump into their old Camaros, Mustangs or other classic cars and vintage racers, and head to the common for a little British invasion at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 (Rain Date Aug. 2).
