Leicester's Matthew Cherry Receives Bronze Star

LEICESTER, Mass. ‒ Army 1st Lt. Matthew Cherry of Leicester has been awarded the Bronze Star for service during his deployment in Afghanistan. The medal was presented by Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  

Cherry, a graduate of Leicester and West Point, is the son of Kathy and Donald Cherry Jr. of Leicester.
