LEICESTER, Mass. — Leicester seniors looking for assistance filing their tax returns can sign up for free tax preparation at the Leicester Senior Center.
A volunteer from the AARP Tax-Aide program will be at the Leicester Senior center from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 12 and March 26.
The AARP Tax-Aide program has nearly 32,000 volunteers staffing 8,500 sites across the United States. The IRS-certified volunteers provide free tax counseling and preparation services to people ages 60 and older.
Seniors should come with all tax documents, including last year's tax return, income and compensation documents, and proof of health insurance.
