LEICESTER, Mass. — Hezekiah Stone's Coffeehouse in Rochdale will kick off a new year Thursday with the return of two favorites in one great show, as Sally Rogers and Claudia Schmidt perform together to celebrate their new collaboration.
Both Rogers and Schmidt have played on national programs like Prairie Home Companion and have international reputations.
The simpatico singers have also recently released a new joint CD, "Evidence of Happiness."
The album is a whimsical combination of traditional songs, the duo's own compositions, and a few contemporary pieces "all sung with tight harmonies by the soaring voices of these veterans of the folk world," said Hezekiah Stone organizer Peter Swanson.
"It should be a great show," he added.
With concerts on the first Thursday of each month, Hezekiah Stone's lineup features a variety of veteran musicians on the local, regional and national singer-songwriter circuit.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 at Christ Church at 1089 Stafford St., Meadow Lane, Rochdale. For more information and tickets, visit Hezekiah Stone’s website.
