LEICESTER, Mass — Singer-songwriter Garnet Rogers will perform at the Hezekiah Stone Coffeehouse in Rochdale on Thursday, Feb. 7.
For years, Hezekiah Stone's Coffeehouse has made it a mission to provide affordable live entertainment that builds community while also supporting the arts.
With concerts on the first Thursday of each month, Hezekiah Stone's lineup features a variety of veteran musicians on the local, regional and national singer-songwriter circuit.
Playing music since he was 6 years old, Rogers has become a well-known and influential act in North American folk music.
The musician sings songs about people who are not obvious heroes and of the small victories of the everyday, according to his biography. His lyrics add over-the-top humor and lightning-quick wit to move his audience from tears to laughter and back again.
Upcoming shows include Ellis Paul on March 7, Antje Duvekot on April 4, Regie Gibson on May 5, and ending with Holden resident Deborah McDonnell and Friends on Wednesday, June 5. Most shows are $15.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Christ Church at 1089 Stafford St., Meadow Lane, Rochdale. For tickets, visit the Hezekiah Stone website.
